Brendan Reeve
Owner and Founder. Chief Financial Officer of a listed company the year he turned 23, without a university degree. Brendan founded Reeve Business Solutions Inc. in 2018 and leads every engagement.

Brendan ran his first company in high school, earned a business administration diploma in accounting, became the Chief Financial Officer of a listed company the year he turned 23, and spent five years inside a First Nation's administration, first in human resources and then writing its funding proposals. Reeve Business Solutions is the firm that work added up to.

2011 to 2013
Founder, Plugged-in Social Management, Chilliwack
In high school, Brendan founded and ran Plugged-in Social Management, registered in British Columbia, leading a small team of developers, designers and consultants. The company built websites, set up social media accounts and did graphic design for clients, ran its own server administration and web hosting, and advised clients on their digital presence.
In June 2012, a Forbes contributor article on teenage entrepreneurs held up Plugged-In Management as its example of teens using social media to build a business: three teenagers, Brendan among them, who studied how social media could help small businesses and built a company to manage it for them.

High school
Always software
He mined Bitcoin and Litecoin at home as a teenager, when a Bitcoin traded for around $15, and has followed blockchain technology ever since. He also completed Advanced Placement computer science exams early, and spent two years as an assistant Brazilian jiu-jitsu coach at Pacific Top Team in Chilliwack, teaching technique to children and adults.

2013 to 2015
Stepping away for school
After high school, Brendan stepped away from Plugged-in to study business, earning a diploma in Business Administration with an Accounting option from Okanagan College in Kelowna. Along the way he was a top-50 customer support agent at Convergys and coached Brazilian jiu-jitsu classes and private sessions in West Kelowna.

2017
Junior Accountant, Vercon Group of Companies, Mission
Payroll, journal entries, monthly and year-end closing, and management reports, working alongside the company's CPA. He also set up and aligned the company's construction-management software with QuickBooks, his first accounting-systems implementation.

2018
Chief Financial Officer, Kestrel Gold Inc. (TSX-V: KGC)
In January 2018, the year he turned 23, Kestrel Gold Inc., a listed mineral exploration company with gold projects in the Yukon and copper-gold projects in northern British Columbia, appointed Brendan its Chief Financial Officer, responsible for the financial reporting, regulatory compliance and corporate finance a listed company owes its shareholders and regulators. He served into the spring of 2018.

2018
Reeve Business Solutions Inc.
The same year, Brendan founded Reeve Business Solutions, his second company, incorporated in British Columbia in February 2018. Its first clients were Kestrel Gold Inc. and Friday Night Inc. (CSE: TGIF), which became 1933 Industries Inc. that October.

Five years, to November 2024
Seabird Island Band, Agassiz
Human Resources Administrator, 2020 to 2023. Implemented and ran BambooHR for more than 300 staff, built the Band's health and safety program, chaired the Joint Health and Safety Committee, and managed sick leave, injury claims and return-to-work.
Proposal Writer, 2023 to 2024. Wrote the Band's funding proposals for infrastructure, accessibility, cultural preservation and sustainability, and built the proposal systems, funding trackers and historical grant records behind them. He learned the funding system from the applicant's side of the table.
While at Seabird, Brendan completed San'yas Indigenous Cultural Safety Training and a custom cultural safety course delivered at the Band.
Among the proposals he wrote, the Band was funded through:
- The Rick Hansen Foundation B.C. Accessibility Grants Program. Seabird Island Band became the program's first Indigenous community recipient, announced in October 2023: accessibility ratings for three sites, up to $82,500 for accessibility improvements, and accessibility training. - The Community Emergency Preparedness Fund. $30,000 from the Indigenous Cultural Safety and Cultural Humility Training stream, announced in January 2024, for San'yas Indigenous cultural safety training for 30 staff. Province of B.C. release
- The CleanBC Plastics Action Fund. $37,953, announced in September 2024, for a commercial dishwasher and reusable dishware in the Band's new cultural building, cutting single-use plastics at community events and programs. Province of B.C. release
The funding decisions were the funders', and the outcomes belong to Seabird Island Band.

2025 to today
The firm as it is now
In 2025 Reeve Business Solutions relaunched as a bookkeeping and grant practice. In 2026 it added the Growth Plan and administrative services, and began growing from an owner-operated practice into a firm.

The company
Reeve Business Solutions Inc.
A Canadian corporation incorporated in British Columbia in February 2018 and registered extra-provincially in Alberta, relaunched in 2025 as a bookkeeping and grant-research practice. Its registered and records office is in Vancouver, and clients are in British Columbia and Alberta.

In his free time, Brendan enjoys snowboarding, skiing, petting dogs and hiking, and he messes around with data sets out of sheer interest.
