Funding

Grant researcher and writer

What you would do

  • Test funding programs against the funders' own pages and write up which are open to a client, which are not, and why.
  • Draft and edit applications the client will submit in their own name.
  • Keep the program catalogue current: sources, dates checked, what changed.

What you would bring

  • Clear writing and a habit of citing the source.
  • Experience with grants, public funding or policy work, in any role.
  • Comfort working with Nations, development corporations and small businesses.

Finance

Bookkeeper, Xero

Not currently open

What you would do

  • Keep client books in Xero every month: feeds, coding, reconciliations, sales tax.
  • Prepare month-end packs and year-end files for the client's accountant.
  • Set up new clients properly, once.

What you would bring

  • Xero experience, or QuickBooks and a willingness to move.
  • GST, and BC PST, in practice.
  • Records someone else can pick up and understand.

Operations

Client and project coordinator

Not currently open

What you would do

  • Run intake: forms, agreements, invoices, and the first meeting booked.
  • Keep every engagement's tasks, deadlines and documents in order and visible.
  • Be the person a client can always reach.

What you would bring

  • Calm organisation and follow-through.
  • Plain, warm writing.
  • Fluency with Google Workspace and comfort with AI tools.
